This presentation shares results from a series of studies conducted within Swedish in-home care services before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through quantitative surveys, we examined the impact of high workload on health-related quality of life and analyzed how task distribution influences both workload and employee well-being. Additionally, we explored the specific environmental challenges home care workers face within recipients’ homes. To capture the managerial perspective, we conducted focus groups and interviews with in-home care managers, specifically highlighting the unique challenges encountered during the pandemic.
